Pete Kendrick

General Manager

About Pete...

Pete is the 604 Athletics General Manager and Head Coach. He started CrossFit in 2008, and after training and coaching at a few other local gyms, he joined the 604 team in 2012 and never looked back. As our lead programmer, Pete’s expertise is the driving force behind our challenging, progressive, and downright fun workouts. Pete is one of the rare few who were actually born and raised in Vancouver. He grew up playing a variety of competitive sports, including tennis, rugby, track and field, and field hockey. After high school sports, Pete played field hockey competitively for the Junior and Senior National teams. In school, his favorite subjects were PE, Biology, and Math. Pete was definitely one of the cool kids/jocks but also diversified and played in the concert and jazz bands at school. Pete has a diploma in Human Kinetics, holds his CrossFit Level 2, and has completed numerous other CrossFit specialty courses and weightlifting seminars, including the NCCP Club Coach certification, CrossFit Endurance, Mobility, and Concept 2 Rowing. His education, coupled with 15 years of coaching and CrossFit competition experience, allows him to lead our team with confidence and charisma.

Pete has been a staple in the CrossFit competition scene since the early days. In 2009, he competed in his first Canadian Regionals as an individual, and that same year, he competed at the CrossFit Games on a Team at The Ranch in Aromas, California. In 2010, Pete competed in the BC Sanctional, placing 1st, and proceeded to place 8th in the Canada-wide Regionals. Then, between 2011 and 2016, Pete competed at Regionals as either an individual or a Team. On the competition coaching side, in 2013, Pete coached one of our masters athletes at the CrossFit Games in Carson, CA, as well as coaching the 604 Team and Individuals at Regionals in 2017 and 2018 before Regionals ended, and CrossFit moved into a different qualifying system for the CrossFit Games.

Outside of the gym, Pete loves spending quality time with his wife Shaina and their two young children. Like a true Vancouverite, Pete also enjoys getting outside on his mountain bike or snowboard to take advantage of our local terrain. Pete's favorite spot to visit is his annual family trip to Maui; he grew up going there as a kid and sees it as a second home that he loves experiencing with his family. Join Pete and his team for a fitness experience filled with laughter, charm, expert guidance, and unmistakable results

Katie Street

Assistant Manager

About Katie...

Katie, born in Harlow, Essex, an hour north of London, engaged in diverse extracurriculars like gymnastics, tennis, team relay, discus, rounders, netball, and floor hockey in her childhood. She thinks she may have fallen into the nerd category in her all-girl high school, favoring Science, Geography, Physical Education, and Maths. After high school, torn between PE, Geography, or Chemistry, she chose the latter due to her love for science and her father’s influence as a medicinal chemist.

Completing her Chemistry master’s at the University of Manchester with a year at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Katie then spent a few months in California, working and rediscovering the importance of fitness in her life, starting with running. Following this, she pursued a 4-year PhD in Icelandic volcanic geochemistry, followed by a postdoc as a research associate. During that time, she discovered her passion for CrossFit. Subsequently, she transitioned from a postdoc to coaching CrossFit in the UK before relocating to Vancouver in 2022.

Katie has an unparalleled level of commitment to her training that is truly inspiring. She is constantly on a path of personal improvement, proficiency of movement, and continually pushing her limits. This fire for the sport of CrossFit is evident and is a part of what makes her an amazing coach. She is incredibly detail-oriented and inspiring to be around. Katie holds a CrossFit Level 2 Certification, British Weightlifting certification, and HFE Personal Training Level 4.

Outside of the gym, you will find Katie skiing, running the Stanley Park seawall, exploring local trails and lakes, and spending summers with friends at breweries. Katie’s top adventures are Bangkok, Thailand, and her summers spent camping in Iceland during her PhD and postdoc, but her favourite destination is Japan.

Mo  Khabbazan

L3 Coach /  Personal Trainer

About Mo...

Mo was born and raised in Tehran, Iran. He has a story that beautifully blends athleticism with academic pursuit. As a child, he loved soccer, which led him to become a team captain in school—a role that showcased his leadership qualities. His favorite subject was Physics, and he excelled in his academic work. Mo was a skinny kid growing up, and at 17 years old, he was determined to gain muscle, which resulted in doing bodybuilding for 8 years.

After high school, Mo received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering & design, as well as a diploma in Kinesiology, the latter fueling his interest in the mechanics of the human body and creating a path forward for him.

His CrossFit journey began with a challenging workout in 2017 that he remembers vividly to this day. And two short years later, Mo began sharing his passion as a coach.

In August 2021, Mo moved to Canada, wanting to explore life away from his comfort zone and hometown, to learn more about himself and different cultures. Since then, Mo is now equipped with a CF Level 2 and a TRX suspension training certificate.

In his coaching, Mo emphasizes steady progress and well-being over competition, inspired by his favorite quote, “Consistency always outweighs intensity.” This philosophy extends beyond the gym to his personal life, where he values continuous learning and spiritual development, especially through reading.

Mo brings a scientific approach to training, using data to track improvement. For Mo, fitness is more than physical—it’s a pathway to learning and growth. When he is outside of the gym, you will find Mo hiking and snowboarding (a hobby he enjoyed in Iran).

Her love of athletics and the human body spurred her post-secondary focus, where she earned a Bachelor of Physical Education and Athletic Therapy.

Fast forward, Meg discovered CrossFit in the early days of 2008, and her first workout was Fran. Using an empty bar and multiple bands for the pull-ups, her first Fran took over 8 minutes, and she couldn’t straighten her arms for a week. She was instantly hooked! Meg has spent her adult life focused on coaching. For the past 12 years, she has owned a leadership/coaching business, and in 2014, she became a CrossFit certified coach, starting her CrossFit coaching journey. She currently holds a CrossFit Level 2 certification and previously worked as a CSCS (Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach and Athletic Therapist).

Meg’s extensive coaching background has honed her skills. She is confident, clear, and concise on the coaching floor. She knows how to bring expertise along with energy to lead a truly amazing class. Meg is an inspiration for everyone around her; she is hardworking, dedicated, and poised as she manages her training and working life with fluidity worth admiring.

In 2022, Meg moved from her hometown of Edmonton to Vancouver, bringing with her years of experience as both a CrossFit coach and a Residential Realtor. She has been an amazing positive leader at 604 and has been crushing her goals in building out her business as a leader in residential real estate in the Greater Vancouver Area. When Meg isn’t helping her clients buy and sell real estate or coaching and training at 604, you will find her hiking, running on the seawall, stand-up paddleboarding, snowboarding, or engaging in any other outdoor activities in one of the most beautiful cities on earth!

Cody Schick

L2 Coach /  Nutrition

About Cody...

Cody’s story is truly inspiring, breaking the stereotype that coaches are often born from a lifetime of athleticism. Cody’s youth in Saskatchewan wasn’t filled with sports; instead, he immersed himself in video games, movies, and indulging in soda and junk food. Despite not growing up as an athlete, Cody’s childhood interests included working on cars, snowmobiling, skateboarding, curling, and baseball.

After graduation, Cody pursued his passion for building and fixing things, computers, and home design at post-secondary school, specializing in Architectural and Building Technologies. He entered the workforce as an Architectural Technologist, preparing construction drawings for various buildings. In 2012, Cody discovered CrossFit, leading him to become a CrossFit coach in 2014. Cody, CF-L2 certified and a Special Olympics Powerlifting Coach, has devoted significant time to Precision Nutrition, achieving Level 2 (PN2) certification. Though stoic and reserved, his coaching expertise shines through, particularly in nutrition coaching, where he serves as the official Nutrition coach at 604.

Portugal and Hawaii are Cody’s favorite spots, drawn to Portugal for the old architecture and pastel de natas and Hawaii for its perfect weather, warm water, beautiful mountains, and island lifestyle. When not immersed in his architectural job or coaching at 604, Cody indulges in skiing, mountain biking, and bouldering. During the summer, he and his fiance explore British Columbia, camping with friends and relishing the region’s offerings.

Born and raised in Ireland, Róisín grew up as the oldest of three siblings in an active and close-knit family. From a young age, she was involved in soccer, karate, canoeing, athletics, and art, developing both her athletic foundation and creative mindset.

As a teenager, Róisín excelled across multiple sports. She trained in karate from ages 4 to 14, earning her Junior 3rd Degree Brown Belt, competed on a Division 1 U18 soccer team in Ireland, and was a competitive flatwater and whitewater canoeist.
